CosmosID is an innovative life science technology company located in Germantown, MD. Our primary mission is to develop industry-leading laboratory services as well as bioinformatics software and database solutions for the analysis of microbiome and clinical microbiology samples using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and molecular assays.

We are looking to hire a Marketing Manager who will be in charge of overseeing the promotion of our company's products and brands. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for developing and executing CosmosID’s marketing content and campaign strategy. In collaboration with senior management, you develop CosmosID brands and ensure that branding guidelines are consequently implemented when executing marketing activities.

To be a successful hire, you will need prior experience with planning, creating and executing marketing campaigns in the field of life sciences or clinical diagnostics. You bring experience with online marketing and social media strategy. A bachelor's degree in marketing or a life sciences discipline is a must. You enjoy being creative and have experience in content creation.

Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute from start to finish CosmosID awareness- and lead-generating campaigns in close collaboration with product management and sales
  • Manage, develop and maintain the content for inbound and outbound scientific content marketing in collaboration with CosmosID scientists, KOLs 
  • Manage search engine optimization and search engine marketing
  • Organize, promote and host webinars 
  • Maintain and develop CosmosID’s website and social media content
  • Manage CosmosID’s brand guidelines and ensure that branding guidelines are met by providing templates for presentations, web content and handouts
  • Contribute to developing brand positioning in collaboration with product management and ensure that the positioning is reflected in campaigns and collateral
  • Support sales in the organization of company conferences, trade shows, and major events
  • Evaluate and maintain a marketing strategy
  • Communicate the marketing plan to internal clients and key leadership
  • Identify new prospects and new market opportunities by researching industry trends and positioning against new market competitors

Marketing Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or master degree in marketing or a life science discipline
  • Experience with creating and executing both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns
  • Experience with website design
  • Experience with online marketing, including social media, and content marketing
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Strong team-spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of small, international teams
  • Experienced in time- or project-management and a track record of reliably delivering  projects on time 
  • Preferred candidates have a degree or background in biology or a related life sciences discipline
