CosmosID is an innovative life science technology company located in Germantown, MD. Our primary mission is to develop industry-leading laboratory services as well as bioinformatics software and database solutions for the analysis of the microbiome and clinical microbiology samples using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and molecular assays.

We are looking to hire a Sr. Marketing Coordinator who will be in charge of overseeing the promotion of our company's products and brands. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for developing and executing CosmosID’s marketing content and campaign strategy. In collaboration with senior management, you will develop CosmosID brands and ensure that branding guidelines are consequently implemented when executing marketing activities.

To be a successful hire, you will need prior experience with planning, creating, and executing marketing campaigns in the field of life sciences or clinical diagnostics. A bachelor's degree in marketing or a life sciences discipline is preferred.

Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute CosmosID lead-generation campaigns in close collaboration with product management and sales
  • Manage, develop and maintain the content for inbound and outbound scientific content marketing in collaboration with CosmosID scientists, KOLs
  • Work alongside third-party SEO agency on strategy for qualified leads
  • Coordinate with partners and internal team members on various education initiatives, such as webinars, podcasts, etc.
  • Maintain and develop CosmosID e-mail marketing & social media strategy
  • Manage CosmosID’s brand guidelines and ensure that branding guidelines are met by providing templates for presentations, web content, and handouts
  • Contribute to developing brand positioning in collaboration with product management and ensure that the positioning is reflected in campaigns and collateral
  • Support sales in the organization of company conferences, trade shows, and major events
  • Communicate the marketing plan to internal clients and key leadership
  • Identify new prospects and new market opportunities by researching industry trends and positioning against new market competitors

Marketing Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in marketing or a life science discipline
  • Experience with creating and executing both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns
  • Experience with online marketing, including social media, and content marketing
  • Strong team spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of small, international teams
  • Experience in project management and a track record of reliably delivering projects on time
  • Preferred candidates have a degree or background in biology or a related life sciences discipline
  • Advanced communication skills
