Whereas conventional methods for microbial detection are slow (often 48 hours - 1 week), many microorganisms are difficult to culture, and co-infections or polymicrobial infections are missed, CosmosID clinical metagenomics offers unbiased, culture-independent and high-resolution disease diagnosis and pathogen characterization.
A single CosmosID test detects multiple organisms and accurately identifies pathogens and their virulence and antibiotic resistance genes, all within a clinically relevant time frame (24 hours).
